Here’s my work on the https method for apt. Encrypted connection and authentification through certificates works. This is a pre-final version. If there will be changes then only from suggestions or criticism by other people, particulary apt’s author.

I wanted to read the openssl docu and it was in (gzipped) pod. What a pain. So here comes podview which lets you view gzipped|compresse|zipped pod ducumentation passed to podview through stdin (pipe) or as an argument as a filename.
