Glue

Glue is the working title of a project that intends to replace or at least to complete or complement today’s money or currency system.

It is based on the idea of a credit/debit system. In past times this system needed a centralised controlling authority. With the uprise of public key systems and trust rings a central point is not required any longer.

Glue at it’s current stage is not even alpha and aspires to explore the concept and eventually provide a proof of concept implementation.

This page has not been officialy published anywhere. If you’ve found it and are interested in helping with the project, then please contact me at “tpo_hp at sourcepole.ch”.

Available Software: Glue.tgz GPG.tgz - this is a modified version of GPG a Perl module being developped by Philippe Froidevaux.

The insiration for this project comes from Futuremoney - thanks to Peter Winzeler for giving me the book for reading!

Compiling a new BusyBox version for Elinos

  1. create a new project (this is just a convenience - you only need the ELINOS.sh script)
  2. execute “. ELINOS.sh”
  3. get the busybox*.tar package and untar it
  4. edit the Config.h file and decidewhat you want in the busybox
  5. edit the Makefile.
  6. set DOSTATIC apropriately
  7. set CROSS=$(ELINOS_BIN_PREFIX)-
  8. make
  9. make install
  10. cd /opt/elinos/i386-target/[static libc6 libc5] (depending on what you want to change, idealy all three)
  11. move the current busy-box away: “mv busybox busybox-0.46”
  12. copy the busybox you have created here: “cp -a NEW_BUSYBOX_PROJECT_DIR/busybox-0.51/_install/ busybox-0.51.with-ifconfig”
  13. make a symbolic link to it: “ln -s busybox-0.51.with-ifconfig busybox”
  14. maybe reiterate for [static libc6 libc5]
  15. now you can go ahead with your current project
